CM seeks report from Rayagada Collector over Bribe Offering

Bhubaneswar, Sep 23: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has directed the Collector of Rayagada to submit a report over the incident in which a 75-year-old tribal woman tried to give bribe to him. Taking serious over the incident, the Chief Minister directed the collector to submit report within three days.

It is reported that, the other day a tribal woman – Laxmi Tarki of Jharanigaon in Raghubari panchayat in Munigida block had reportedly tried to give bribe of Rs.1500 to the collector requesting his action over land issue. She requested him to get release her land from the possessions of her fellow villager. She tried to give bribe as despite her complaint many times no action was taken by the collector.
