Congress calls Bandh in Sundergarh, Normal Life disrupted

Normal life is disrupted in Sundergarh district on Thursday due to 12-hour bandh called by Congress party in protest against the barrage proposed to be constructed by Chhattisgarh government on Ib River, and demanding distribution of ration cards to eligible beneficiaries.

Shops, Educational institutions, and other business establishments remained closed. Vehicular traffic came to standstill and silent for the bandh. Commuters have a very tough time to move anywhere due to bandh.

Meanwhile, the security arrangements have been beefed up in the district to prevent any untoward situation.
