Congress MLA Krushna Sagaria resigns from Odisha PCC General Secretary post

ONI Bureau:  Upset over removal from the post of Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee (OPCC) Dalit Cell chief, Congress MLA from Koraput Krushna Chandra Sagaria today resigned from the new post of PCC General Secretary.

He was appointed as the PCC General Secretary by All India Congress Committee (AICC) President Rahul Gandhi on Saturday last week.

He has sent his resignation letter to OPCC president Niranjan Patnaik and AICC Odisha in-charge Jitendra Singh. However, he said that he will remain in the party, contest the coming elections and will continue his fight for the dalits in future.

Speaking to media persons today Sagaria said that after being the PCC SC Cell president, he have protested for rights of SC and Dalit be it about Dana Majhi incident, Kunduli issue or Kashipur mango kernel issue.However, there are many people behind his removal from chairmanship post in the SC cell of party, Sagaria stated.

Reportedly, PCC Working President Pradeep Majhi today met Sagaria and requested to reconsider about his decision.
