Controversial Godman Sarathi Baba sent to Jail till October 13

Cuttack, Sep 30: Controversial self-styled godman Sarathi Baba was sent to jail in connection with the case filed against him by his former aide R Mallick. The court has set October 13 as date for next hearing in this case.

Sarathi Baba alias Santosh Raul deposed before SDJM court here today over the second complaint lodged by the woman.

However, according to reports, he will be deposed before the court via videoconferencing in the next hearing, and not in person due to security reasons. He did not apply for any bail this time and Crime Branch also did not seek further remand of Sarathi. Since his arrest on 8 August 2015, Sarathi Baba has been in jail following cases filed against him.
