Amidst the much hype and fear of coronavirus having gripped people, a person suspected of being infected with the virus have fled from hospital putting peoples’ lives in danger.
The incident happened last evening when the Ireland Resident after screening at Biju Patnaik International Airport in Bhubaneswar was suspected to be affected by the deadly virus.
On being screened, it was found that his body temperature was higher than average. Hence, he was immediately sent to SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack for further investigation and treatment. However, he managed to sneak while he was accompanied by an attendant for tests to confirm being affected. A case was even registered against him at Mangalabag Police Station in Cuttack.
Police after launching a hunt nabbed the person from a hotel in Bhubaneswar and sent him for tests. Much to relief, the test reports have come out negative.
