Late at Monday night, Banki and Narasinghpur area in Cuttack district was lashed by heavy rain accompanied by hailstones. The local residents claimed that they had never seen such huge hailstones and were frightened, they ran for their lives and took shelter wherever they found place.
There were reports that the storm continued for an hour and some hailstones weighed between 200 gram to1 kilogram.
After such bombardment of hailstorm, every rain is likely to bring fear to the locals.
