Cyclone Pabuk: 7 Coastal Districts put on alert in Odisha

ONI Bureau:  In view of cyclonic storm ‘Pabuk’ which is expected to approach Thailand’s southern coasts tonight, collectors of coastal districts in Odisha have been asked to stay alert to tackle any possible situation.

The alert has been issued to the collector of 7 coastal districts including Balasore, Bhadrak, Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapara, Puri, Ganjam and Khordha.

Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted that Cyclone Pabuk will cross Andaman Island on January 6 and Myanmar coast during January 7-8.

Fishermen are advised not to venture into the Andaman Sea & adjoining southeast and the east-central Bay of Bengal from Jan 4 to 7.
