Dalai Lama arrives in Odisha; meets CM Naveen Patnaik

Insight Bureau: Tibetan Spiritual leader Dalai Lama arrived at Bhubaneshwar on Monday. The leader is on a two-day tour to Odisha.

The 82-year-old Buddhist monk, met Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and holds talk with the CM  at Naveen Niwas.

Dalai lama hailed Naveen Patnaik as the longest serving efficient Chief Minister.

The spiritual leader has been provided Z-plus security cover. Odisha Minister Surjya Narayana Patro and Ashok Panda welcomed him at the Biju Patnaik Airport.

The Nobel Peace Prize Laureate will be conferred with the 10th “KISS Humanitarian Award” in a special function at the Kalinga Institute of Social Science (KISS) on 21 November and will address the students there.

The Tibetan leader is now on a week-long three-city tour to Delhi, Bhubaneshwar and Kolkata.
