Damage estimation increases to Rs 2,765 cr due to Cyclone Titli in Odisha

ONI Bureau:  Damage estimation due to Cyclone Titli in Odisha increased to Rs 2,765 crore, informed Special Relief Commissioner (SRC) Bishnupada Sethi today.

While, 60.11 lakh people in 8,125 villages in 128 blocks of 17 districts affected; 2.63 Lakh hectare crop damaged. Likewise, 56, 930 houses destroyed and 34,951 domestic animals were killed in the State in Cyclone Titli related incidents, SRC said.

Earlier on Wednesday, the State government confirmed that 57 persons have died in the State in Cyclone Titli related incidents while 11 still missing (may be presumed dead).
