ONI Bureau: Expelled BJD leader Dr. Damodar Rout has hinted that he is going to float a new party – Biju Samata Kranti Dal very soon. All modalities are being worked out and an official announcement would be made soon, he said.
According to reports, former Union Minister Braja Kishore Tripathy’s Samata Kranti Dal will be renamed as Biju Samata Kranti Dal with Dama Rout as the President.
Damodar Rout refused to divulge the names of leaders who are interested to be part of the new party. However, sources close to Baijayant Panda say that he won’t be part of Dama Babu’s new venture and may float his own party.
Dr. Damodar Rout has ruled out alliance with any political party in Odisha although he is seen with Congress leaders off late. He also alleged that BJD is playing the spoilsport by creating a divide between him and other like-minded leaders who want to end Naveen rule in Odisha.
