ONI Bureau: Putting all speculations into rest, expelled BJD leader Dr. Damodar Rout has named his new party as Biju Samata Kranti Dal. He made this announcement on Facebook at around 10:30 PM tonight. Initially, it was announced need as ‘Biju Kranti Dal’, then changed to ‘Biju Samata Kranti Dal’.
According to sources, many smaller parties including Braja Kishore Tripathy’s Samata Krarnti Dal and Samrudha Odisha may be part of a grand alliance, which would fight the polls on anti-corruption plank.
Former BJD and OJM leader Jagneswar Babu will also be part of Damodar Rout’s new party. However, it’s not immediately known which other parties or leaders will join Dr. Damodar Rout. Utkal Bharat President Kharabela Swain could support the new party at a later stage, but not immediately.
