Dharmendra misquoting CM on “Regional Alliance”: Sasmit Patra

ONI Bureau: As Union P&NG and SD&E Minister Dharmendra Pradhan took a potshot on Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik, saying the BJD President is scared of BJP’s rise and thus looking for a regional alliance with corrupt parties, BJD Spokesperson Dr. Sasmit Patra hit back, saying the Union Minister is resorting to cheap political statements and misquotes to mislead the public.

“The CM stated yesterday that Centre should “take care” of the expenses towards deployment of central armed forces (CAF) to deal with Left-Wing Extremists in Odisha and other states. In order to ensure that Centre accedes to such just demands by States like Odisha and other states ruled by regional parties, he felt that the regional parties should have better coordination to impress on the Centre to take care of these expenses”, he added.

“However, in a media statement, Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has wrongly represented the Hon’ble CM’s statement by stating that the latter is looking for political coordination among regional parties. It shows the fear and nervousness of Mr. Pradhan, who is constantly misquoting, misrepresenting and diluting the true essence of the CM’s statements”, Dr. Sasmit Patra claimed.

It’s obvious that Dharmendra Pradhan seems to be wearing dark glasses so that the world always seems dark to him. Let him not try to always derail the just demands of the state of Odisha by his cheap political statements and misquotes”, added Dr. Patra.
