The BS-IV grade fuels launched at an estimated cost of Rs 90,000 crores that will benefit 1.25 billion citizens of our country by substantially reducing pollution levels and carbon emissions.
Speaking on the occasion Pradhan said that by 2020 India will launch BS-VI compliant fuel.
Petroleum and Natural Gas Ministry Secretary KD Tripathi and senior officials of lndian Oil, Hindustan Petroleum and Bharat Petroleum were also present in the occasion.
