Dharmendra seeks Centre’s intervention to speed up Tourism Projects in Odisha

ONI Bureau:  Union Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Thursday sought Centre’s intervention to fast-track tourism projects in Odisha.

In a letter to Union Tourism Minister of States KJ Alphons, Pradhan urged to review the status of Swadesh Darshan and Pilgrimage Rejuvenation and Spiritual Augmentation Drive (PRASAD) Schemes.

Pradhan said that though Rs 50 crore was sanctioned for a seven component project under PRASAD scheme to be executed by ITDC in Puri in March 2015 and Rs 76.49 was sanctioned for development of Gopalpur-Barkul-Satpada-Tampara Coastal Circuit by OTDC under the Swadesh Darshan Scheme in 2016, progress has been very slow for want of Coastal Regulatory Zone (CRZ) clearances from the state Government.
