Dharmendra speaks to Rajnath on Titli Assistance for Odisha

ONI Bureau: Union Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Saturday spoke to Home Minister Rajnath Singh & Union Home Secretary Rajiv Gauba, requesting them to expedite consideration of additional assistance to Odisha from the National Disaster Response Fund to meet the need of Cyclone Titli affected people.

“The High Level Committee chaired by Rajnath Singh approved additional Central Assistance to States including Andhra Pradesh affected by Cyclone Titli. Apprehensions have been raised in certain quarters regarding additional assistance to Odisha also hit by the cyclone “, he said.

Both Rajnath and Gauba have assured that the Memorandum submitted by the Government of Odisha shall be given positive consideration at the earliest, Pradhan took the Twitter to share this information.

Earlier on October, the Odisha Government had urged the Centre to release an interim assistance of Rs 1,000 crore for relief-and-restoration work.
