ONI Bureau: Rajeswari Kamila, the woman who hurled eggs at Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik at a meeting in Balasore a few days ago, has been granted bail by the Jaleswar JMFC Court.
The bail was granted on the condition of two sureties of Rs 10,000 each and bank deposit of Rs 5,000. She was asked to give an undertaking not to repeat such act again.
Rajeswari was initially charged with Section 307 (Attempt of Murder), but charges were dropped after the court raised questions. She is still undergoing treatment at the SCB Medical College & Hospital, Cuttack for the injuries she suffered during the brutal assault on her following the egg attack.
