ONI Bureau: Notorious criminal Chagala who was a close associate of gangster Tito was gunned down in Nayagarh Police Encounter on Thursday night.
Reportedly, Chagala was planning for a crime with his associates when the encounter took place at ghanpur village in the district yesterday late night. Sources said this is is the fifth encounter done by Nayagarh police this year.
While, he had received bullet injuries in both of his legs, his associates managed to escape from the spot.
As per report, as many as 50 criminal cases including murder, extortion, robbery etc. registered against the criminal Chagala in various police stations across the state.
