Govind Podder hits 2nd Consecutive Ton in Ranji Trophy

Dependable batsman Govind Podder, who had scored a hundred against Vidarbha in the first match of this season, scored his second consecutive hundred, when he hit 100 against Maharashtra.

Odisha bowled out for 267 in reply to Maharashtra’s first innings score of 281 and conceded a 14-run lead. Pratik Das was the only other batsman, who showed great resistance by scoring 61. For Maharashtra, Shrikant Mundhe took 6 wickets, while Anupam Sanklecha took two wickets.

In the second innings, Maharashtra ended Day 3 at 156/3. Swapnil Gugale scored 71. Basant Mohanty has taken two wickets for Odisha. If this match ends in a draw, then Maharashtra will get three points, while Odisha will have to be content with just one point like the previous tie.
