ONI Bureau: Retired IAS Officer R. Balakrishnan who had retired as the Development Commissioner on November 30, 2018, has been appointed as the Chief Advisor (Special Initiatives) in the rank of Chief Secretary. His job will be honorary and he won’t take any salary for it.
Balakrishnan will directly report to the Chief Minister. He will work in the following areas:
– Special Development Councils
– Tribal Museum
– Craft Museum
– Input to Heritage Cabinet
– Odia University and Odia Virtual Academy
– Any other initiative to be notified.
R. Balakrishnan will be provided with an office with supporting staff, vehicle and quarters for accommodation.
