Heavy rainfall triggers Flood situation in Twin City; Schools, Colleges shut today

ONI Bureau:  Heavy rains lashed several parts of Odisha bringing normal life to a halt since yesterday following a depression over South west Bay of Bengal.

Several areas in Cuttack and Bhubaneswar threw vehicular traffic out of gear with major roads getting waterlogged. Schools and Colleges ordered for closure and declared rainy day. 4th semester exam of Plus III students in Utkal University, Bhubaneswar postponed in view of incessant rain. However, next dates will be announced on the varsity’s official website later.

Rain water entered into houses in several localities in the Twin City. ODRAF and Fire officials engaged on duty. Pumps are being used to release water from many localities in the Twin City.
