Hirakud Dam releases Season’s second Rain Water today

Hirakud Dam has released season’s second rain water on Thursday as the water level has increased in its reservoir due to incessant rains in the upper reaches of Mahanadi.

The dam authorities had opened two sluice gates to release the excess water of the reservoir.

According to official sources, the district administrations have been asked to remain on alert.
