ONI Bureau: Men’s Hockey India on Thursday named the 18-member Indian squad for the Odisha Hockey Men’s World Cup 2018 which is scheduled to be held at Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar from November 28 to December 16.
While, Odisha’s Birendra Lakra and Amit Rohidas named in 18-member Indian squad, Manpreet Singh has been named the captain of the Indian Hockey team.
India is grouped in Pool ‘C’ along with World No.3 Belgium, Canada and South Africa, reportedly.
It is to be noted that Birendra Lakra represented India in Men’s Hockey during the 2012 London Olympics while Amit Rohidas plays as a defender for Hockey India.
