Normal life was thrown out of gear due to the bandh call given by trade unions and various political outfits.
Protestors stopped vehicles from plying on the roads. At Baramunda bus stand and Bhubaneswar railway station, passengers were stranded as public transport remained off the roads.
Commercial establishments, malls and standalone shops remained shut at most places.
Tha Bharat bandh call was floated by the farmers after their discussions with the Government on farm laws failed.
The farmers’ body and the government will be holding next round of talks on December 9.
