Jagamohan Repair: ASI yet to receive final design from Madras IIT

The Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) on Monday informed the Orissa High Court that the Jagamohan repair work yet to need more time for its completion. They had discussed with SJTA for supply of more materials and yet to receive the final designs from IIT, Madras for the rapairing of remaining pillars.

The Orissa High Court on Monday, instructed the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) to mention the completion date of Jagamohan repair of the Jagannath Temple in Puri. It has also asked to file affidavits on the issue.

Earlier, the ASI had mentioned that 80 percent of repair work of Jagamohan has been completed. However, the SJTA claimed that only 20 percent of repair work has been completed.
