One of the senior servitor of Jagannath Temple in Puri, Premananda Das Mohapatra passed away on Sunday. He had recovered from COVID-19 three days back.
As per reports, the servitor was undergoing treatment at Bhubaneswar’s Hi-Tech Medical College and Hospital for COVID-19. He was discharged three days back after testing negative for the infection.
However, Premananda Das Mohapatra complained of chest pain on Sunday morning, after which he was admitted to the District Headquarters Hospital in Puri, where he breathed his last.
The senior servitor had served as the Secretary of Daitapati Nijog for ten years.
