Jatni Minor Rape: Odisha BJP to hit the Streets on Saturday

Bhubaneswar, Jan 22: The Odisha BJP under new President Basant Panda has decided to hold protests across the state tomorrow in protest against the brutal rape of a nine-year-old minor girl in Jatni, alleging collapse of law and order in Odisha under the BJD rule.

The victim is in a critical condition, as she was brutally assaulted by the accused Ahiraj Nayak. Ahiraj also tried to kill her by strangulating after raping her, but she survived with injuries. The culprit was arrested later.

Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik has already expressed deep anguish and concerns over the incident. He has asked the authorities to bear the entire cost of the treatment of the girl. He has also ordered strong action against the culprit.
