INS Bureau: The mortal remains of three labourers who were killed in a blast at granite quarry in Hathi Belgal village of Andhra Pradesh’s Kurnool district on Friday evening were brought to Rambha in Ganjam district in the wee hours of Tuesday from Kurnool.
Three other workers, who were injured in the explosion, are undergoing treatment at the Kurnool hospital.
Worth mentioning, at least 10 workers were killed in a blast at a quarry in Kurnool district on Friday.
Earlier, Andhra Pradesh Government announced an ex gratia payment of Rs 5 lakh each to the kin of the deceased.
Expressing grief over the death of the Odia labourers, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik announced an ex-gratia payment of Rs 2 lakh to the family of each on Monday. The Odisha Government also announced would also bear the cost of treatment of the three injured labourers from the state.
