ONI Bureau: Lakhs of devotees today thronged various temples across Odisha to seek blessing of the deities on the New Year day.
While tourists across the globe visited the pilgrim town Puri to seek darshan of Lord Jagannath and siblings in Srimandir, thousands also visited the Konark Sun temple and Chandrabhaga beach to witness first sunrise of 2019.
People also visited Lord Lingaraj temple in Bhubaneswar, Ghatgaon Tarini Temple in Keonjhar, Manikeswari temple in Bhawanipatna, Samaleswari in Sambalpur, Gupteswar Koraput Dist among others.
The tourist spots like Satapada, Bali Harchandi, Bhitarkanika National Park, Khandadhar were also seen packed with picnickers.
