Late Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s ashes immersed in Puri Mahodadhi

ONI Bureau:  A large number of people today joined the procession, known as the ‘Asthi Kalash Yatra’ (journey with the urn) of late Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee to witness the immersion of ashes in Puri Mahodadhi.The procession commenced from the State Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) headquarters in Bhubanneswar on Thursday morning and reached at Mahodadhi in Puri by evening.

All rituals conducted at the sea beach as per Hindu tradition. State party unit president Basant Panda and Union Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Dharmendra Pradhan immersed the ashes of Atal Ji in the Puri Sea today evening.
