Minor Gangrape Case: Mother Moves Odisha Child Rights Commission Against Mediapersons, Cop Involved

The mother of the minor girl who was allegedly subject to gangrape by policemen and mediapersons moved to the Odisha State Commission for Protection of Child Rights. She has sought immediate arrest of the culprits.

On August 30, the girl’s mother had lodged an FIR with the Mahila police station. She had alleged that the employees of a media channel and security personnel had repeatedly raped her daughter for 15 days between April-May this year.

In her complaint to the Child Rights Commission, the woman also mentioned that despite reaching out to the management of the said TV Channel, no action had been taken so far.

The Investigating Unit for Crime Against Women has taken over the case, informed DCP Umashankar Dash.
