‘Missing’ Tribal Girls of Rourkela found in Sambalpur

The Odisha Police rescued three minor tribal girls of Rourkela from the Sambalpur Railway Station. The girls had gone missing since Tuesday. The cops ruled out any foul play or abduction angle and said that the girls ran away from their on own.

According to police sources, the girls reportedly revealed that they ran away from home to escape from the restrictions imposed by their parents and stop abuse. The cops are verifying their claims and statements.

The parents of the girls had lodged police complaints that the Class-VIII girls, who had gone for tuition on Tuesday evening, had not returned home. The cops revealed that the girls first went to Sambalpur by train and stayed at a lodge there. They were planning to leave Sambalpur on Thursday when they were tracked by the cops at Fatak Railway Station.
