The heatwave conditions will prevail in Odisha for another 3/4 days. There will be no respite from the heat and the mercury level may touch 43 degrees C over the next few days.
The monsoon is currently stuck near Kerala and Tamil Nadu. A depression has been formed over the Arabian Sea, which will trigger rainfall in South-West India. A low pressure situation may be formed over the Bay of Bengal by June 14. That might lead to some rain in Odisha, but it cannot be called monsoon rain.
It is not yet known when the monsoon will hit Odisha. But, experts believe that it could be delayed till June 22 or so.
