In a shocking incident, a completely disfigured body was found from the railway track near Kamalakant Vidyapith Shikharpur chowk, Cuttack on Sunday.
The matter came into light after locals caught sight of the body and informed the police.
Police rushed to the spot immediately and sent the body for postmortem to SCB Medical College and Hospital. An investigation has been initiated into the matter.
Although the exact reason behind the death is yet to be ascertained, it is suspected to be a case of suicide.
