The Elephants inside the Zoo were provided a special treatment to mark the occasion. The jumbos were decked up with unique attires with floral designs and customized applique apparel. Visitors including kids were allowed to feed banana, sugarcane and other fruits to the animals.
Notably, World Elephant Day is an international annual event dedicated to the preservation and protection of elephants across the globe.
