The deceased has been identified as Prabhasini who had married Laxmi Nahak of the same village on November 9.
The groom’s family refused to accept the dowry amount of Rs. 1.70 lakh in old notes and had asked the bride’s family to exchange the new notes within a given time.
The deceased’s parents alleged that her in-laws killed Prabhasini as they failed to exchange the demonetised notes.
