ONI Bureau: Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Thursday said there should be no compromise in Odisha’s interest.
Pradhan suggested that Odisha Government, which has strongly opposed Chhattisgarh constructing major structures in Mahanadi river, should discuss the matter with Chhattisgarh to resolve the issue through tribunal as earlier today said by the Minister for Road Transport & Highways and Water Resources, Nitin Gadkari.
Speaking about the amount of Mahanadi water Pradhan said there is enough water in the river to meet the demands of both the States and due to lack of action by Odisha Government the present situation has arised.
