ONI Bureau: Putting all rumours and speculations into rest, former BJD MP Baijayant Panda has denied any plan to join the BJP on December 24 in the presence of PM Modi.
While attending the Gopalpur Premier League (GPL) in Cuttack today, Jay Panda said he has not yet taken any decision to join the BJP as speculated in a section of media.
“I want to bring change to Odisha. I was hounded because of this. Crime against women and corruption cases are on the rise in the State. It’s not a good scenario”, he added.
“I am yet to decide whether I would contest elections or not. I will join the electoral battle only if people want. Otherwise, not,” he said to a question whether he would fight 2019 polls or not.
“My first book will be released in January. It will shed light on Odisha’s history and politics,” he added.
