ONI Bureau: The Sub-Divisional Judicial Magistrate (SDJM) Court in Cuttack on Tuesday rejected the bail plea of deceased Odia TV and film actress Laxmipriya Behera aka Nikita’s husband Lipan Sahu in connection with her death.
After circumstantial evidence and interrogation over the matter, Chauliaganj Police yesterday arrested Lipan on charges of murder.
However, Lipan was sent to Choudwar Jail after SDJM court rejected his bail plea today.
Worth mentioning, Nikita died after falling from the terrace of her paternal house in Mahanadi Vihar area in Cuttack on January 5.
Nikita is known for her acting roles in TV serials and movies including ‘ACP Nikita’, ‘Mathare Dei Pata Odhani’, ‘Tu Mo Akhira Tara’, ‘Chori Chori Mana Chori’ and among others.
