Odisha‬ CM announces incentives of Rs 10 lakh each to 6 Rio qualifiers

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today announced Rs 10 lakh incentive each for 6 Odia sportswomen which would be of immense help for the six players to get prepared for the Rio Olympics.

The six sportspersons were sprinters Dutee Chand and Srabani Nanda and four hockey players Deep Grace Ekka, Namita Toppo, Lilima Minz and Sunita Lakra.

Both Dutee and Srabani has qualified to participate in the 100-metre run and 200-metre run event respectively. They have also qualified for the 4X100-metre relay race. The four hockey players of Odisha have also found their places in the Indian women’s hockey team for the mega event.
