Odisha Cabinet approves 18 Proposals, to construct 2601Godowns

Bhubaneswar, Nov 2: Odisha cabinet has approved as many as 18 proposals in a meeting held at State Secretariat today here. The cabinet meeting was chaired by Chief Minister Naveen Patnak, which approved many major proposals including – construction of  2601 Godowns, to constitute land bank to set up new industries, New Pension Scheme for contractual employees and bringing  transparency in recruitment process.

Chief Secretary G C Pati after the meeting briefed media about the decisions taken by the Odisha Cabinet. He said that the cabinet has approved a proposal of Industries Department to set constitute a land bank to set up new industries and land will be acquired through IDCO.

The Chief Secretary said the cabinet approved a proposal of Cooperation department for construction of 2601 godowns in the state, Pati said. He added that with the construction of new godowns would help to sore procured paddy from farmers.

Two proposals of Health and Family Welfare Department were also cleared by the cabinet to bring transparency in recruitment process and promotion rules for two carders of staff, he said. Considering the two proposals of the department, the cabinet approved for the changes in the Vital Statistics Clerk Service Method of Recruitment Conditions Service Rules, 2015 and the Odisha Ministerial Services for Drugs Controller, he added.

Besides, the cabinet also cleared new pension schemes of the Finance Department under the Odisha Civil Services Pension Rules. As per the decision taken over the new pension scheme, he said, the contractual employee would pay 10 per cent of their salary and the state government would add 10 percent towards the pension scheme.
