Odisha celebrates 69th Republic Day with Enthusiasm

ONI Bureau: Governor SC Jamir led the Republic Day Parade at MG Marg in Bhubaneswar, while CM Naveen Patnaik unfurled the Tricolor at Barabati Stadium in Cuttack, as Odisha celebrated the 69th Republic Day with much enthusiasm and fervor.

Governor SC Jamir hoisted the national flag and took the salute at the parade, which also witnessed the marching contingents of police personnel, NCC, Bharat Scouts & Guide members, and students from various Schools and Colleges.

The Tableaux of various organisations and departments showcased the culture, heritage and developmental schemes. The daredevil team of Maharishi College of Natural Law, including Girls mesmerized the crowd with their stunts.

While speaking in Cuttack, CM Naveen Patnaik hailed Odisha’s growth rate as higher than that of the country and said the state is at par with other states in development sector.

“We have made tremendous progress in terms of poverty reduction and human development index.
