Odisha CM addresses on 70th Independence Day

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Monday unfurled the National flag at the Mahatma Gandhi Marg in Bhubaneswar on the occasion of 70th Independence Day celebration of the country.

Over 26 platoons of police force were deployed near the Mahatma Gandhi Marg and 50 CCTV cameras were installed from Rabindra Mandap to Master Canteen.

Addresing the State Chief Minister said, his Government is working to resolve the Mahanadi water dispute with Chhattisgarh.

“Odisha  government approved proposal to set up Special University of Odia language & literature in Odisha, which will create new opportunity for research on odia language” Chief Minister said.

Giving importance to infrastructure, the CM said, “The proper infrastructure will help to develop the socio-economic status of the region”.

Odisha CM also congratulated six female sportsperson who have qualified for Rio Olympics 2016.
