In a function held at the Secretariat, Naveen Patnaik said to newsmen that under the 100 new Biju Setus will benefit 16 lakh people covering 345 Gram Panchayats (GPs) and 75 rural pipelines will provide drinking water to 1.15 lakh people in rural area.
Notably, the Biju Setu Yojona was started in 2011 with an objective to provide proper road connectivity to isolated areas of the state. So far, 481 bridges have already been completed.
