Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik wrote to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday, for establishing international airport at Puri. The Puri airport could name as Sri Jagannath International airport, he proposed.
In his letter, the CM emphasized that Puri has potential to develop as a hub for spiritual tourism and economic activities.
He also stated that the State Government had already identified land for the proposed project and will extend all support.
Through the PM, CM Patnaik requested the Ministry of Civil Aviation to taje it up as a priority project.
