Earlier, CM Naveen Patnaik had joined micro-blogging site Twitter and received tremendous response from the users. However, the account was not properly maintained and did not trigger the buzz like other Twitter handles of influential politicians of India.
After Dharmendra Pradhan and BJP went on an aggressive mode to launch a fierce online campaign, the think tank of the Odisha CM, decided to change tactics and joined Facebook, which is considered as the platform of the masses, where as Twitter is mostly for the elite class.
