Odisha Govt approves salary hike of Govt & Aided College Teachers

ONI Bureau:  Odisha Cabinet on Saturday approved 12 proposals including increase in salary of teachers working in State-run Universities, Colleges and Aided Colleges with retrospective effect from January 2016. Around 5,200 Teachers will be benefitted by this development.

The State Cabinet also approved increase in Corpus of contingency fund for KALIA Scheme from Rs 400 Cr to Rs 1,600 Crore. An ordinance would be issued in this regard, as the Assembly is not in session.

The Cabinet also approved Odisha Farmer Producer Organisation (FPO) Policy for generating higher returns to farming communities.

The Government has decided for grant of permission to Tourism Department for sub-lease of Government land in Mouza-Bankimuhan, Unit No 26, Puri Town for a period of 30 years in favour of Sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik for establishment of “Sand Art Park” at Puri.

The State cabinet also approved the proposal for enhancement of corpus of Contingency Fund through an ordinance amending the Odisha Contigency Fund Act, 1967 (Odisha Act 18 of 1967).

Cabinet today approved Alienation of Government land measuring Ac 2.045 dec in mouza Tangi under Tangi Tahsil in favour of Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India on a token premium of Re 1/- for construction of developing training and residential facilities for students of AIIMS, Bhubaneswar.

The Cabinet also approved the appointment of Dr Namita Mohanty and Purna Chandra Pathy as Members in Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC).

Odisha Chief Secretary Aditya Prasad Padhi made this announcement soon after the vital cabinet meeting held today.
