Odisha Govt to provide free Android Smartphones to Farmers soon

ONI Bureau:  Odisha Government has decided to provide Android smartphones to 2,000 farmers of each district, informed Food Supplies & Consumer Welfare and Co-operation Minister Surjya Narayan Patro today.

As many as 3 crore to be spent for the project, the minister told to news men.

The smartphone will have voice call and SMS facilities, through which, the farmers will get the details about the prevailing market price of their produce.

Earlier, Odisha Govt has distributed 59,282 mobile phones among farmers free of cost in order to provide market information to them.
