Odisha Govt to reintroduce Eggs in MDM in Bhubaneswar Schools

ONI Bureau:  In order to enhance enrolment and provide proper nutrition to all students studying in Government schools in Bhubaneswar, State Government has decided to reintroduce eggs in the mid-day meal for schools in the Capital city.

About 50,000 students of 267 schools in the city will get boiled eggs every Wednesday & Saturday. However, the eggs will be supplied from the BEO office at Rs 5 each, informed Bhubaneswar block education officer (BEO) Sasmita Malli on Saturday.

Worth mentioning, the state government had stopped supply of eggs to all schools in the city in 2016.
