ONI Bureau: Many parts of Odisha including some coastal districts as well as southern Odisha are likely to experience heavy rainfall today, the Regional Meteorological Department predicted.
However under the influence of cyclonic circulation in northwest-west central Bay of Bengal, rain and thundershowers are likely to occur in most places across Odisha in the next 24 hours.
Though the rains continue till July 9 in southern parts and coastal region, Northern region and interior areas of the State will receive heavy rainfall on July 9 and 10.
As the sea condition would be rough to very rough, the MeT office advised the fishermen not to venture into the sea.
