Odisha to set up Aadhaar Enrollment Camps from Nov 1

Bhubaneswar, Oct 9: In an endeavour to cover around 1 core peopel those left out  during Aadhaar enrollment camps last time in the state, Odisha government has decided to set up dedicated Aadhaar enrollment camps across the state from November 1 at schools, colleges and another places. The camps will be operational till the last of November month.

The state government will engage 15,000 school teachers in the enrollment camps and fixed payment of Rs 6,000  each to teachers. They will be imparted special training over Aadhaar campaign and enrollment during Dusshera vacation. The state government has entrusted Sub Collectors to monitor the campaign. However, Revenue Inspectors of schools are directed to supervise the performance of teachers during the camps.

It is noteworthy that, more than one crore people in the state were left out during the Aadhaar enrollment camps conducted earlier. The state government plans to enroll 1.2 crore people in the camps to be organised from next month.
